This feature was a proof of concept ability that I created to prove that there are possibilities for the manipulation of unspecified entities via the flowgraph system in CryENGINE2. The graph identifies the object the player is looking at as a grenade, then allows it to be manipulated and thrown away. Further development also achieved animating the throw, as well as a slight slowmotion effect to aid the difficult operation of picking up and returning the grenade. The video demonstrating how this works is shown below in a blank test map.
